AIG to leave New York headquarters

AIG is to move out of its New York headquarters after 33 years following its decision to sell the building to a Korean bank and a US developer for an estimated $100m plus.

The departure is a symbol of the fall from grace of a group that dominated insurance and is surviving on a $100bn government lifeline.
