UK government 'should support rented housing'

The UK government should be encouraging a much bigger private rented housing sector, according to Schroders, one of the UK's big real estate managers.

William Hill, head of property at Schroders, said policy was skewed towards owner occupation and affordable housing, which meant pricing was linked to the sum a property could reach for owner occupation.
