Russia probes 'terror' blast

A blast that ripped apart a bus yesterday in the central Russian town of Togliatti killed eight people and injured more than 50, raising fears that terrorist threats and instability could in-crease as elections approach.

Russian officials said they were investigating the suspected bomb blast as an act of terrorism, making it potentially the second recent attack outside the volatile north Caucasus region.
