NU with-profit pay-outs reduced

Norwich Union, the UK’s biggest insurer, has cut pay-outs on with-profit savings policies by up to 10 per cent as a result of the poor investment conditions since the start of the year.

The reductions, which took effect on September 1, will hit returns for thousands of NU endowment, pension and savings policies that mature or are encashed in coming months.
