Global crude oil demand will grow significantly less than previously expected because of the impact of slower economic growth in the US, Europe, Japan and South Korea, the western countries’ energy watchdog said on Wednesday.
The International Energy Agency said in its monthly report that global consumption will increase by 1.67m barrels a day, down about 300,000 b/d from its January report, which already reflected a 200,000 b/d cut from December.
