Loic Le Meur, France’s best-known blogger, has noticed that the people who post comments under his thoughts have been drifting away from his website.

He is not taking it personally – as a measure of any decline in popularity – but believes it is a sign of the times. “I get many more comments on FriendFeed now than on my own blog,” he says, referring to a new social networking site that encourages comment and conversation.
