Growing disputes hit global trading

Trade officials have expressed concern that the global trade system is being damaged by increasingly acrimonious disputes, after Europe and the US reopened their World Trade Organisation battle over aircraft subsidies.

The EU yesterday said it would revive its dormant WTO case against the US's support for Boeing in retaliation for the American decision, announced late on Monday, to start the first stage of litigation against the EU for loans to Airbus.
