Nord Anglia sells nurseries to ABC

The UK’s biggest network of nursery schools is to abandon the childcare market at home to concentrate on more profitable ventures overseas.

Nord Anglia, the education company, said it had agreed a sale of its 88 Leapfrog nurseries for £31.2m ($62.8m) to ABC Learning Centres, an Australian-based group that already owns the Busy Bees chain of childcare centres.
