Creating the right environment at home means paying attention to details – even such minor items as doorstops.

These practical accessories are offered in a wide range of styles, sizes, prices and materials to suit all decorative schemes. Everything from knotted rope to precious metal can be used in the design. Dan Black and Martin Blum of Black + Blum, for example, have created James the Doorman – a rubber wedge in the shape of a man – while Harry Allen’s Roller Stop is a roller skate that can be used as a doorstop or bookend.
