Motorola and Proview International Holdings, the Hong Kong-based electronics manufacturer, have scrapped a landmark alliance that was intended to expand the US technology group's brand into the market for high-end televisions and computer display screens.
In a filing to the Hong Kong stock exchange on Monday, Proview said that both companies had agreed to end the one year-old pact under which Moxell Technology, a subsidiary of Proview, was to develop and manufacture TVs for sale under the Motorola name.
