Engineering workers accept pay deal

Engineering construction workers have voted to accept a two-year pay and conditions deal, potentially bringing peace to an industry that will be responsible for building at least 10 nuclear reactors by 2030.

The two-to-one vote by up to 30,000 workers follows months of unofficial walkouts at power stations and petrochemical sites, including Total’s Lindsey oil refinery in Lincolnshire.
