Ladbrokes confident despite fall in profits

Ladbrokes remained confident about its ability to withstand the economic slowdown, in spite of a fall in profits from high rollers.

In the year to December 31, pre-tax profits at the UK’s biggest betting group fell more than 27 per cent from £345m to £250m, but still beat analysts’ expectations of £241m.
