Notts County’s mystery owners have finally cleared the Football League’s fit and proper persons test, three months after they took possession of the League Two football club.

In a statement, the Football League said clearance for the owners followed “extensive disclosure” by the club of its ownership structure, which the league described as “complicated” and featuring offshore entities and discretionary trusts.
