The Financial Times announces the appointment of Charles Clover as Moscow bureau chief. Clover, who joined the FT in 1997, has been the paper’s analysis page editor since September 2006. He will be taking up his new post in early July.
Charles Clover replaces Neil Buckley, who has been the Moscow bureau chief since January 2005. Buckley will be returning to London to become a Lex columnist. He joined the Financial Times in 1991 and has held numerous positions since starting, including spending four and a half years as a Brussels correspondent.
Neil Buckley will report to Jo Johnson, who is returning to London to become editor of the Lex column. Johnson has been the South Asia bureau chief, based in New Delhi, since January 2005.
Andy Bounds will take up the post as Financial Times North of England correspondent, based in Manchester, in August. Bounds joined the FT in 1997 and has reported from Brussels since 2004, most recently as EU correspondent. Bounds is replacing James Wilson, who has moved to the Frankfurt bureau to become a correspondent. Wilson joined the FT in 1997 and has been the Northern correspondent since August 2005.
Tim Bradshaw has joined the media team as digital media correspondent. In the newly created post, Bradshaw will cover digital initiatives of UK media, technology, telecoms and marketing companies. He will report into Andrew Edgecliffe-Johnson. He previously worked at Investors Chronicle for one and a half years as a technology and telecoms reporter.
