Advertisers call for closer scrutiny of free-to-air plans

Plans for a successor to Freeview, the free-to-air digital TV service, need stronger regulatory scrutiny, the advertising industry has warned.

The BBC, ITV and BT are working on new set-top box technology - codenamed Project Canvas - that would allow internet videos from services such as the iPlayer to be viewed on conventional television sets.
