Crédit Agricole to repay €3bn state aid

Crédit Agricole on Wednesday joined the queue of French banks rushing to repay government aid, saying it would reimburse the €3bn ($4.5bn), plus €220m in accumulated interest, it had borrowed by the end of this month.

France’s second biggest bank, which recently said it was in “no hurry” to pay back the money, will do so using the proceeds from recent bond issues.
