IN&M wins six-week reprieve

Independent News & Media has agreed a six-week standstill with its banks and bondholders and secured €15m (£13.2m) of fresh working capital, allowing it to continue negotiations on financial restructuring.

The agreement will run until June 26 and comes on the day a €200m bond, which IN&M said it would not be able to pay without breaking financial covenants, is due to mature.
