SVG shareholders slate Williams exit

Shareholders in SVG Capital, the biggest investor in private equity group Permira, have reacted angrily to Thursday’s surprise news that Andrew Williams was stepping down as chief executive of SVG Advisors, its fund advisory arm.

Nicholas Ferguson, non-executive chairman of SVG Capital, said he would temporarily replace Mr Williams, while a replacement was found.
