Ebay's strategy brings site down

The A public failure at the weekend of Ebay, one of the world's most-visited websites, has raised concerns about the internet retailer's the outage raised concerns about Ebay's ability to handle bulk listings by big sellers.

The search and browse functions on the company's main shopping site, Ebay.com, were down for most of Saturday, bringing almost all shopping to a halt, at the beginning of the crucial Christmas shopping season and just days before the US Thanksgiving holiday.
