The number of bidders for Elan Drug Technologies, a subsidiary of the Irish pharmaceuticals company, has narrowed after Cinven, the private equity house, dropped out of the auction.
Bain Capital and TPG, who made first-round bids for EDT last week, remain in the process. Apax, which has looked at the division, is not involved currently. KKR has also shown an interest.
