Olympic legacy for female builders

The greatest achievement of the 2012 London Olympics could be to boost the number of female builders, according to the minister responsible.

Tessa Jowell, the Olympics minister, said she wanted the Games to effect a "social transformation" and end the "gross" gender imbalance in the sector, where women account for only 1 per cent of manual trades workers.
