Japanese retail investors return home

Japanese retail investors, once enamoured of Icelandic bank accounts and kiwi bonds, are now turning their purchasing power to Japanese stocks.

Trading in Japan’s major stock exchanges by individual investors has been rising since the global financial crisis began to wreak havoc in markets last year, according to brokers and analysts.
