Brambles out of the woods as full-year profits rise

Brambles showed the fruits of its restructuring programme on Wednesday as the Anglo-Australian support services group unveiled a sharp rise in full-year profits and gave an optimistic outlook for 2006.

The results, which were at the top end of expectations, were welcomed by investors and in late morning trade the shares were up 1 per cent at 331¾p in London, a two-and-a-half year high.
