Transport system vulnerable to attack

Emergency planners have long pointed to London's archaic transport system as particularly vulnerable to disruption and fataliies as a result of a major conventional bomb or chemical attack.

There has also been a dispersal of police, with numerous police officers being deployed to Scotland for the G-8 summit where Tony Blair the prime minister was being kept updated with the latest developments in London.
