Chancellor told corporate taxes must be simpler

Gordon Brown's latest finance bill has failed to do enough to simplify the complex corporate tax system, a Lords committee said today.

More simplification was essential to cut business costs, achieve more certainty and make the UK more attractive to mobile, international businesses, said the House of Lords economic affairs committee.
