Olver prepares for shake-up on BAE board

Dick Olver, chairman of BAE Systems, is preparing to put down his first marker at the company he joined in July with a shake-up among the board's non-executives.

The move is likely to lead to the departure of at least one of the two Conservative politicians serving on the board: Michael Portillo, the former defence secretary, and Lord Hesketh, the former government chief whip.
