Newsweek to turn new page with relaunch

Recycling bins overspilling with paper greet visitors to Newsweek magazine’s New York headquarters. On top of one heap is a copy of Red Herring, a magazine that burst with advertising during the internet bubble but is no longer in print.

“Do you remember these guys?” asks one Newsweek employee. The magazine’s stewards now worry whether readers wonder the same of them.
