Minerva faces exclusion from plans to develop one of the largest shopping centres in the UK after Croydon council terminated a long-standing agreement.
The property company has been working on plans for almost a decade for a retail and leisure development of close to 1m sq ft at Park Place in Croydon town centre. The council on Tuesday informed Minerva it would seek a new partner for the site, raising the prospect of it forcibly acquiring the land through a compulsory purchase order (CPO).
