Palin and Biden clash on taxes and Iraq

In one of the most anticipated vice-presidential debates in US political history, Sarah Palin and Joe Biden met for the first time on Thursday night, focusing on pushing the policies of their senior running-mates.

Governor Palin shook hands with Senator Biden, who she said this week she had never met but whose speeches she had been listening to since schooldays, and asked him: “Can I call you Joe?”
