Late-comers find attractive niche

They might have been latecomers to the market, but fixed income exchange traded funds are most definitely shaking up the investment landscape.

At the start of 2007, Barclays Global Investors - the biggest ETF provider in the US - was the only investment management company with a bond ETF on offer. Today, however, there are more than two-dozen fixed income ETFs on the market.
