UK manufacturing recovery slows

The pace of recovery in the British manufacturing sector slowed last month, according to a survey of purchasing managers, as demand for new orders eased sharply.

The purchasing managers’ index for the sector fell to 51.8 from a reading of 53.4 in October, where any figure above 50 signals that companies are reporting an increase in activity.
