Arbiter sides with Metronet

London Underground could owe Metronet, the rail maintenance consortium that went into administration in July, anywhere between £370m and £1.07bn, according to a government-appointed arbiter.

Metronet, owned by five large contractors, entered administration on July 18 after banks withdrew support following four years of cost overruns on its work to upgrade six tube lines.
