Tony Blair on Tuesday urged the international community to face up to the threat of extremist ideology after meeting Conservative and Liberal Democrat leaders for talks on tough new counter-terrorism legislation.
The UK prime minister pledged to give “not one inch” to terrorists as police continued their rapidly-moving investigation into the July 7 and July 21 attacks on London. His comments also came as authorities named a British man among at least 64 people killed in attacks on the Egyptian resort of Sharm el Sheikh at the weekend. Concerns are mounting for 10 Britons who are still missing.
