Overview: Bond concerns overshadow better data

Wall Street relinquished strong early gains on Wednesday as worries about waning foreign demand for US debt overshadowed signs of improvement in the US economy.

US government bonds retreated after a record $34bn auction of five-year Treasuries attracted only tepid demand and highlighted concerns about a flood of forthcoming supply.
