Lower US sales spread globally for Pepsi bottler

Pepsi Bottling Group, the largest global bottler of Pepsi-Cola drinks, said yesterday it was seeing signs that the slowdown in the US was spreading to its global customers.

Eric Foss, chief executive officer, said that soft consumer demand in the US had spread during the third quarter "across geographies", leading to sales volume declines in Europe and Mexico.
