Chrysalis chairman buys TV independent

Chris Wright, chairman of Chrysalis, is acquiring control of an independent television company in a move that could anger industry executives who last year paid ?45m to acquire Chrysalis's TV assets.

Mr Wright signed a three-year non-compete agreement when Chrysalis sold its TV operations to a consortium led by Steve Morrison, former chief executive of Granada, the ITV broadcaster.
