Capita sees rate of outsourcing slowing

Capita insisted on Wednesday that there was no let-up in the trend for businesses and public bodies to outsource back office jobs, but the shares fell sharply amid concerns over a slowing rate of contract wins.

Although the group said it had secured £1bn of deals so far this year, some £814m of that was derived during the first six months, meaning the win rate has slowed significantly since.
