Vienna seeks east European exchange network

Wiener Börse, Vienna’s stock exchange, is interested in bidding for a stake in its Warsaw rival as the Austrian group continues to look for ways to build a network of exchanges in eastern Europe.

Michael Buhl, joint chief executive of Wiener Börse, said the group was also developing a common clearing platform for three eastern European exchanges in which it had recently bought majority stakes.
