Multinationals opt for global pay policies

Multinationals, led by US groups, increasingly are setting pay levels globally for senior executives and managers, according to a study published on Tuesday by Mercer, international consultants.

A survey of almost 170 multinationals revealed that 84 per cent had “established a global compensation strategy for executive-level employees”. The proportion was much lower for other employee groups, Mercer said.
