Overview: Equities rebound but money market strains persist

Global equities enjoyed a solid rebound on Tuessday following the previous session’s sharp sell-off, although there was no respite for the ailing dollar as it hit a new low against the euro, and money markets continued to show signs of stress.

In spite of the equity market bounce, analysts remained uncertain about near-term direction.
