Investors await clearer guidance

European bourses ended in the red for the third consecutive week, as investors sat on their hands and waited for second-quarter results to guide the market.

“There’s a lot of money on the sidelines,” said Edmund Shing, European equities strategist at BNP Paribas, describing it as a “wait-and-see week”.
