Video fuels row over Afghan deaths

Graphic video showing the aftermath of a military airstrike in Afghanistan which the country’s president claims killed more than 90 civilians has been released, further fuelling a bitter row between the US and the United Nations.

The videophone images, taken by an Afghan doctor working for an international health organisation and handed to the UN, show funeral preparations and appear to undermine US claims that a maximum of seven civilians were killed in the village of Azizibad in the western province of Herat last month.
