The Barnes & Noble Nook is sold out. The Sony Daily Edition is in short supply. As the holiday shopping season heats up, demand for some e-readers is fast outstripping availability in the US.
On Friday, Barnes & Noble said the Nook, the $260 e-reader it released last month, was out of stock. New orders will not be filled until January.
