Cineworld joins queue to enter LSE

Cineworld, the UK’s second largest cinema chain, will on Wednesday signal it plans to launch an initial public offering, becoming the latest private equity-backed business attempting to join the London Stock Exchange.

The June IPO of the Blackstone portfolio company – which is thought to have an enterprise value of about £450m ($836m) – follows the recent market debuts of Debenhams, the department store group, and Qinetiq, the defence research group.
