Iranian guards arrested in Pakistan

Pakistan’s interior ministry began investigating the arrest of 11 Iranian revolutionary guards on its territory on Monday, as the country’s government pledged to “overcome any misunderstanding” with Iran.

Tensions have mounted rapidly between the countries since a suicide bomb attack in south-eastern Iran on October 18 killed 40 people, including senior commanders of Iran’s revolutionary guards.
