Turkish airliner crashes at Schiphol

At least nine people died and more than 50 were injured when a Turkish Airlines flight from Istanbul crashed on approach to Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport on Wednesday.

Airport authorities said the Boeing 737-800 crashed at 10.31am in a field near the northernmost of Schiphol’s five main runways. There were 127 passengers and seven crew on board.
