US and EU 'losing patience' with Iran

The US and the European Union yesterday tried to build a common international front on Iran's nuclear programme when they told a meeting of the United Nations nuclear watchdog that Tehran had to increase its co-operation quickly.

The meeting of the board of governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna was not marked by the tense atmosphere of the last gathering in September, when the EU and Washington pushed through a resolution censuring Iran by majority vote.
