Disabilities ‘hit older US middle class group’

Middle-income older Americans, like the country’s poor, have “significantly higher” odds of living with a health-related disability than their wealthy counterparts, according to a new study.

Researchers at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) found that people over 55 years of age were increasingly likely to have a disability with each lower level of income status.
