As times have changed, so have the views of Nexhmije Hoxha, the widow of Albania’s Stalinist leader and an enduring symbol of the country’s 40 years of near-isolation.
Mrs Hoxha, 88, who spent five years in jail in the 1990s after being convicted of embezzling public funds as head of Tirana’s Marxist-Leninist institute, has become a belated supporter of Nato membership for Albania.
