Regulator clears Navteq-Nokia deal

The €8.1bn ($12.1bn) acquisition of Navteq, the US-based digital map provider, by Finland's Nokia was cleared by Europe's competition authorities yesterday, without any conditions.

Brussels' move had been widely expected after the European Commission cleared a takeover of the only other supplier of digital map databases - Tele Atlas - two months ago.
